Adult Support and Protection – help us to spread awareness

This Tuesday 20 February is National Adult Support and Protection Day.

This annual awareness-raising campaign aims to remind members of the public to act on any concerns they may have about vulnerable adults who could be at risk from harm, neglect or exploitation.

We will be supporting the event by sharing information via our Facebook and Twitter channels throughout the day, so please keep an eye out for these and share to your own team’s social media channels where appropriate.

This year, in addition to a general adult support and protection message, there will a highlight on the issue of sextortion scams. You can watch the campaign video below or share it via the NAHSCP YouTube channel.

We all have a responsibility to look out for adults who could be at risk of harm and report any concerns we have, as they may not be able to do so themselves. To find out more about who to contact, visit the Adult Support and Protection page of the North Ayrshire Council website. Or in an emergency, always call 999.
