A number of deceased birds have washed up on beaches across North Ayrshire and it is suspected that they have been infected with Avian Flu.
Our Streetscene and Waste Disposal services are currently working to remove these birds from the areas and safely arrange for safe disposal. If you come in contact with wild dead birds and develop flu like symptoms, please contact your GP or NHS 111 and advise of the full circumstances.
