Board Members Wanted

NHS Ayrshire and Arran are currently recruiting 2x board members but the deadline to apply is fast-approaching…

Are you interested in a challenging and rewarding role that could have a lasting impact on the delivery of healthcare across Ayrshire and Arran?

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is looking for two non-executive members to join its Board. While the Board isn’t involved in the day to day running of the organisation, it plays a central role in guiding the strategies that address the health and social care priorities and care needs of Ayrshire’s residents.

You don’t need to be a health expert or have previous experience of being on a Board, and NHS A&A wants to hear from people with a diverse range of skills, backgrounds and knowledge.

While the time commitment will vary from week to week, the role will take up around eight hours per week on average and involves a mix of daytime Board meetings, committee meetings, reading documents and attending stakeholder events.  To find out more about this appointment, visit the Scottish Government website. For an application pack and full details, please visit www.appointed-for-scotland.org.

If you’d like to find out more about the role, contact Lesley Bowie, Board Chair, by calling 01292 513601 or emailing AA-UHB.ceo@aapct.scot.nhs.uk.

Completed applications must be received before 5pm on Wednesday 14 December.
