Unity is hosting a special event to celebrate Carers Rights Day on Thursday 23 November from 11am to 1pm at West Kilbride Village Hall.
Unpaid carers are invited to come along to the event, which will see the launch of the North Ayrshire Carers Gateway and provide an overview of the new service and how it will benefit carers. It will also feature inspiring stories from carers who have already received support from Unity.
Light refreshments will be served. If you’d like to attend, please RSVP to andrew.mitchell@unity-enterprise.com by Monday 20 November.
In addition, Unity has launched a new counselling service for unpaid carers this week.
Counsellor Christopher is taking referrals for online counselling sessions via Zoom. He can provide up to eight sessions of CBT support to help carers develop coping strategies, reduce anxiety and improve their overall mental wellbeing.
