Do you work with service users who are struggling with the cost of living?
The NAC Corporate Communications team has pulled together a leaflet outlining the crisis support available from the Council, along with information on foodbanks, community larders and other support services available to residents in North Ayrshire.
The helpful digital flyer has details on how to contact experts for advice.
If you would like some copies of the leaflet to pass on to your own service users, please contact lynnjolly@north-ayrshire.gov.uk to arrange collection from Cunninghame House.
Please include the name of your team and the number of copies you would like in the email.
The Council’s dedicated Cost of Living Support webpage also has a number of useful resources including:
- Energy Advice and Support – Including help and support with rising energy costs and info on the Energy Support Grant Scheme;
- Finance and Benefits – Including information on benefits, grants, rent, mortgages, Council Tax and other costs;
- Children and families – Including grants, payments, school costs and the National Entitlement Card;
- Food, clothing and essentials – Including info on food banks and cooking on a budget, along with grants for free school meals, clothing or footwear;
- Health and wellbeing – With health and wellbeing support, including the National Wellbeing Hub and a range of leisure activities;
- Business and community – With Cost of Living support for businesses and community organisations;
- and Wifi and PC access – With information about free access to computers, the internet and WiFi across North Ayrshire.
