Annual Leave Deadline fast approaching!
All annual leave being taken in 2023 must be applied for by Friday 8th December 2023 and all requests must be approved by your Line Manager no later than Monday 11th December 2023. Please note that once your remaining annual leave entitlement has been transferred to 2024 it will not be transferred back to 2023.
After Monday 11th December we will calculate your remaining annual leave entitlement, and this will be manually transferred to your 2024 balance. Upon 1st January any annual leave that you have pre-booked for 2024 will be reflected in your balances.
The following categories of leave have been available for you to book in 2023.
- Annual Leave – This is your 2023 annual leave entitlement which should be used by 31st December 2023.
- Bought Hourly Annual Leave (where applicable) – This is your 2023 bought annual leave entitlement (up to 5 days) which must be taken before normal annual leave entitlement is used, subject to any annual leave carried forward from the previous leave year.
Please note any remaining 2023 bought hourly annual leave will not be carried over to 2024.
You will continue to have the above-mentioned categories of leave available to book for 2024. The Annual Leave category will include your 2024 annual leave entitlement and any leave you carry over from 2023. Please take note of when these allowances should be used by:
- 2023 Annual Leave carried forward – should be used by no later than 31st January 2024
- 2024 Annual Leave entitlement – should be used by 31st December 2024
- 2024 Bought Hourly Annual Leave (where applicable) – should be used before normal annual leave entitlement is used, subject to any annual leave carried forward from 2023.
