Introducing MyNAC #digitalstrategyna

The Council has launched a brand-new online customer account service for residents – aiming to ensure they can access the services they need as quickly and simply as possible.

Since the start of Covid-19, there has been a significant increase in the number of people accessing the Council’s online services, whether it’s to pay a bill or report a fault.

And the launch of the new MyNAC service will make it even easier for residents to access the information and support they need.

Head of People and ICT, Fiona Walker, said: “We recognise that our digital services are key to supporting the shift to online transactions and the new MyNAC Account provides access to information all in the one place.

“The pandemic changed the way people accessed goods or services and more than 60 per cent of Council customers are now using digital as their channel of choice to access Council services.

“We are committed to ensuring that we continue to adapt to the changing needs of our residents, businesses, and our workforce, and MyNAC is a game-changer for residents who prefer to interact with us online.

“However, we know that there are many who will still prefer in-person or over-the-phone contact. These interactions are still very much available – finding this balance is key.”

Whether you’re using a tablet or smartphone at home or on the go, or logging in on a laptop or computer at one of our Council venues, you can access all the benefits of MyNAC at a time and place most suitable to you.

If you know someone who needs help accessing digital support or information but they don’t have a laptop, tablet, smart phone or internet connect at home, don’t worry, library staff are on hand to help. Contact your local library for information on free wifi and access to devices.

The Council’s aim is to save you time online, so once you’re registered to MyNAC you’ll be able to:

  • View and download your Council Tax bill
  • Apply for free school meals and school clothing grants
  • Request for Council Tax discounts and exemptions
  • Easily request a Council service, make a payment, report any issues, track progress and view your contact history
  • And if you are a Council tenant, you can also check your rent balance too.

It’s easy to find, at the top right of our homepage – www.north-ayrshire.gov.uk – all you need is a personal email address to register, then you’re ready to go.

The new MyNAC online customer account, with improved functionality, uses the secure national MyAccount for signing in and offers a completely streamlined customer experience.

With Council Tax, Housing and payments information all in one place, it brings Council services together so that residents can multi-task, making payments and tracking progress on the go.

The MyNAC account coincides with the launch of the Council new Digital Strategy (stay tuned for an informative video coming shortly), which lays out how we will continue to improve services for our residents.
