If your Service is considering a new project/initiative/system that processes children’s data, you are required to undertake a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA).
This is a legal requirement under the Data Protection Act 2018. It is also vitally important to ensure as a Council, we are protecting the rights of children in relation to the processing of their personal data. A new template has been created to allow you to consider any privacy risks and address these in conjunction with the Data Protection Officer.
