Face to face physiotherapy appointments have recently resumed within Cunninghame House after being postponed due to COVID.
The physiotherapy service within North Ayrshire Council provides support to employees suffering from musculo-skeletal conditions which may be affecting work performance and/or attendance.
Providing physiotherapy offers early assessment of a wide range of muscular, back, neck and joint problems and the physiotherapists can offer treatment and provide advice on rehabilitation.
Physiotherapy is performed through Physicare, arranged through Optima Health and where an employee wishes to request a physiotherapy appointment, a referral can be made through MyOHportal by the employee’s relevant Manager. The employee will be informed, and an appointment scheduled where they will complete the relevant course of treatment.
Where an employee thinks they may have a musculo-skeletal problem and may benefit from this Service, they must speak to their Manager/Supervisor in the first instance.
