Staff takeover opportunity with parkrun at Eglinton

Would you be interested in participating in an NAHSCP/NAC parkrun volunteer takeover event in the new year?

These takeovers offer a great way for staff to team up, spend time outdoors in a green space, socialise and have fun, providing a boost to your health and wellbeing.

Volunteers will receive full support and training on the day from one of the organisation’s core team, with staff being assigned various roles at the event, which include timekeepers, marshals and more.

This free, friendly and inclusive community 5k event is held at Eglinton Park, Kilwinning, every Saturday at 9.30am.

If you or your team would be interested in taking part, please register your interest with kevinqueenan@north-ayrshire.gov.uk. If numbers are sufficient, we will then be in touch to confirm your availability and arrange a suitable date for a takeover.

Regular parkrun volunteering opportunities are also available at Eglinton Park. You can find out more on the parkrun website.

You’ll also find more information on the site about how you can take part in the event by running, jogging or walking the route. It’s free to join in, but you must register before your first event.
