Try diving with beginners sessions book before 2024

Have you always wanted to try out diving but not sure where to start? Well, North Ayrshire Divers are currently offering taster sessions over at Auchenharvie Leisure Centre, but spaces are limited.

Delivered by North Ayrshire Divers – previously Auchenharvie Sub Aqua Club – the club has been around for many years offering safe and secure Scuba Diving on behalf of SCOTSAC (Scottish Sub Aqua Clubs) an association governed by Sport Scotland.

Open for all levels, the club is open to all levels of experience, we are currently looking for qualified divers along with new trainees, so, to encourage interest, the club are runnin Try Dive sessions in early 2024.

What should people expect from the sessions?

The try dive sessions (£15pp) last about 45 minutes were totally new beginners would experience for the first time breathing underwater with full aqualung equipment, with an experienced and qualified diver.  Full safety training is given before entering the pool.

Is the goal to venture to the sea?

Once completing the pool training the next step is open water training, 5 open water exercises and 6 dives then the candidate would be a qualified Branch Diver, from here they can dive to 15meters and can then go on to Sport Diver then Master Diver if they wish.

Evening sessions will begin at Auchenharvie Swimming Pool on Thursday 4 January 2024 – full details will be provided once registered.
