If you need more information, please contact the Election Team at elections@north-ayrshire.gov.uk or phone 01294 324729.

Successful local democracy in action is when all voices are heard to ensure communities are properly and equally represented. I would encourage any residents from across our nine wards who are considering how they can make a difference in their community to come along to our upcoming ‘How to Become a Councillor’ workshop. This workshop will be of particular interest for those considering standing in the Scottish Local Government Elections on Thursday 6 May 2027. There’ll be a warm welcome and a room of other people who share a passion for community. You’ll hear from Councillors in elected office in your local council, and you’ll be inspired to think about what difference you want to make. So, register your place now and come together with the people in your community to lead the change in politics.
