Invitation to People's Emergency Briefing screening
The Energy and Sustainability team are inviting all colleagues to a special Lunch & Learn screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing - a new film bringing together leading UK experts to explain, as clearly as possible, what the latest science says about the climate and nature crisis, how it is already affecting our lives and what can still be done.
The film focuses on an evidence-based overview from experts across a range of fields, including climate science, food systems, health, economics, national security and extreme weather.

📍 Location: Irvine & Kilwinning Committee Room, Cunninghame House 4th Floor West
📅 Date: 28th of July 2026
🕛 Time: 12:30pm – 2pm
Bring your lunch along and take some time out of your day to learn, reflect and chat with colleagues through a relaxed training session.
Whether climate and nature issues are central to your role, something you're interested in personally or a topic you've not had much opportunity to explore, everyone is welcome. No prior knowledge is required.
The screening will also provide an opportunity to:
- hear directly from leading experts
- gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities ahead
- take part in an open and respectful discussion with colleagues in a safe environment
- consider what these issues might mean for our organisation, our communities and our everyday work
We encourage colleagues from all services and teams to attend. Different viewpoints and experiences will help make the discussion richer and more meaningful.
