Group photo of Greenwood Production kitchen with share your feedback and thanks for supporting Cafe on 4 message full details in article

Have you ever wondered who’s behind the menu and produce at our staff café?

Well, lights, camera, action! Look no further than our latest video, created for our Take Two video blog, where we meet some of the team members who are hard at work each week to keep our morning and lunchbreaks happy and healthy at Cunninghame House!

Based at the local secondary school, not only do the Greenwood Production Kitchen team have the highest school roll compared to all other North Ayrshire academies, the team also provide the cakes and sandwiches for Tournament Café at Eglinton Country Park and the delicious menu items at the Café on 4.

With a three-week rolling menu and specials on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the Café on 4. Find this week's menu on Latest News.

Come behind the scenes with us to meet the team based at Greenwood Production Kitchen on a food prep to plate journey and find out where the magic happens before the delicious food and baked items make their way to the Cunninghame House staff café…

Angela Millar, Administration Officer from Facilities Management shares: “We are always on the lookout for new menu ideas and your feedback is always welcomed.

“Our famous mushroom soup is one of example where we’ve taken your feedback on board. It was so popular that we received multiple emails to have it more frequently on the menu, so, rather than just once a month, it now features once a week, every week at the Café on 4.

“We are really grateful to everyone who continues to support the café. As well as sharing feedback and telling others about why they should drop in for their breakfast or lunch this week, we are also keen for colleagues to help us in our sustainability goals. You can do this by bringing your own hot drinks cup for hot drinks and your own containers for soup or other items, as we are always on the lookout for ways to cut down on plastics and packaging - and, you'll receive an eco-discount!

“If you have a menu idea or want something back on the menu, drop us an email.

Lisa, Senior Catering Supervisor at Greenwood adds: “I’ve proudly worked with North Ayrshire Council for 24 years and feel very lucky to be part of such a dedicated service.

"At Greenwood we run a busy production kitchen with a fantastic, hardworking team who take great pride in what we do. Every day we work together to prepare fresh, delicious meals and tasty, sweet treats for our customers, created with focus, passion and inspiration...

“We’re passionate about good food, teamwork, and making sure everything we produce is something our customers can really enjoy. Thank you to everyone who continues to support the Café on 4.”

If you want us to shine a spotlight on the focus, passion and inspiration of your team, email the Communications team for your chance to be featured next time.
