Mileage rates have increased

Please be advised that the HMRC Business Mileage rates have increased from 45p to 55p for the first 10,000 miles.

Our Terms and Conditions have now been updated to reflect this. Rates will be applicable from your next available pay date.

The recent government announcement advised that the rate will be backdated to 6th April 2026.

Therefore, payroll will calculate any arrears applicable. Due to the volume of claims, any arrears due will be processed in the next available pay runs as follows:

  • Monthly – 12th June and 12th July
  • Monthly Teachers – 25th June
  • Weekly – 11th June
  • Fortnightly – 25th June
