Wednesday 15 July: New exhibition for Harbour Arts Centre
Margaret Carslaw’s Formation exhibition has launched and will open Wednesday to Saturday this week. With large scale canvas artworks available for purchase and lots of inspiration for those who want to unleash their inner artist this summer, the free exhibition is a must-see if you are headed to Irvine Harbourside. Buy tickets for Women’s Open – employee discount available!
The world’s top golfers including current No.1 Nelly Korda are getting ready to battle it out in the Women’s Scottish Open at Dundonald Links, Irvine, taking place from 22- 26 July. There will be something for everyone to enjoy between the world-class golf on the course, from delicious food trucks and family fun to big screens and live entertainment. Council employees can access a 30% discount on tickets by using the code “NACOUNCIL30” via the Women’s Open Website. For young fans and families, there are also junior rates (ages 17-23) and ages 0-16 go free!

2026 marks the National Year of Reading and North Ayrshire Libraries is encouraging people of all ages to head on over to their nearest library to discover the genres, books, digital formats and opportunities for connection on your doorstep. Come along to upcoming Road Safety Roadshows
The Road Safety Roadshows are a fantastic FREE family day out and taking place across various locations in Ayrshire over the summer! Filled with lots of games for children (and adults) to get involved in, enjoy Allan’s Magic Roadshow, plus emergency services will be in attendance. Taking place at the following dates and locations:
- Wednesday 15 July, 11am-3pm, at Alloway Parish Church Hall
- Wednesday 29 July, 11am-3pm, at Cumnock Town Hall
- Wednesday 12 August, 10am-2pm, at Eglinton Country Park

Don't miss out on your chance to vote at future elections. The Ayrshire Valuation Joint Board is now issuing annual canvass communication to ensure the electoral register is up to date. You will receive an email and/or a letter asking you to check, and if necessary update your details. Please respond promptly and follow all instructions on the information received.
