Monday 27 July: B714 improvement works
The ongoing major improvements works on the B714 Dalry-Saltcoats road have reached an important stage with the closure of the road in effect from today for a period of up to 14 months. Drivers are asked to follow a diversion along the B780 from Dalry to Ardrossan. Keep up to date with the project by visiting our website.
Wednesday 29 July: Mental Health Services Carers Forum
Do you – or does a service user or someone you know – care for someone who currently accesses mental health services, or who has done so in the past? The next in the series of monthly Mental Health Services Carers Forum events will be held this Wednesday. It will run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at The Glade, Woodland View Hospital, and includes a session exploring wellness techniques with Lotus Wellbeing. These sessions are designed to provide a safe space for carers to discuss the issues that affect them and it is respectfully requested that organisations do not attend these sessions unless they have been invited to present information on the day.
Saturday 1 August: Try out archery at our local country park
The Ancient Society of Kilwinning Archers are holding and upcoming 'Come and Meet' event at the Events Field at Eglinton Country Park on Saturday. If you are interested in joining this amazing historic club, come along to the Events Field (next to the playparks) on Saturday 1 August, between 11am and 2pm.
New lecture room opens at Cunninghame House
A brand-new 49-seat Lecture Room is ready and open for business at Cunninghame House, Irvine. Located on the Third Floor (West), the new space is the first of its kind for the building, and is part of the ongoing Irvine Locality office moves to Cunninghame House to rationalise Council services and optimise our workforce. An action-packed week for the Summer of Sport
A programme of taster sessions, activities and fun days will take place over the summer break across North Ayrshire – see the list of everything happening this week in the Summer of Sport news article. Biker Refinement Course
The Biker Refinement: Advanced Skills for Confident Driving Course returns this August. Taking place on Sunday 16th August at Dreghorn Fire Station, 9.30am – 3pm. Come along for a great day out – develop your motorbike skills, test your knowledge and meet other bike enthusiasts. This is a free event however spaces are limited, book now to secure your spot. CRM refresher training is back next week!
The Customer Service Training team is offering Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System training on Tuesday 4 August and Wednesday 5 August. Training is being offered as part of our ongoing commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality customer service across council. Book your place for the 10am morning or 2pm afternoon sessions via Latest News. Training is designed to reinforce best practice, provide updates on recent changes, and support colleagues in using the CRM system effectively and confidently in their day-to-day roles.
