Monday 10 August: Last chance to register for care experienced sports day
Today is the last day to secure a place for Wednesday’s care-experienced sports day at Dalry Public Park – delivered in partnership with the Summer of Sport. Visit the Corporate Parenting Facebook page to get registered. Free pizza, snacks and refreshments will be included and there’s going to be a host of fun including colour run, inflatables, sports taster sessions and more…
Wednesday 12 August: Road safety roadshows
The Road Safety Roadshows are a fantastic FREE family day out and taking place across various locations in Ayrshire over the summer! Filled with lots of games for children (and adults) to get involved in, enjoy Allan’s Magic Roadshow, plus emergency services will be in attendance. Taking place this Wednesday from 10am until 2pm at Eglinton Country Park events field.
Thursday 13 August: Green Car Scheme Drop-In Event
Interested in finding out more about the Green Car Scheme? Join us at our drop-in event at Cunninghame House on Thursday 13 August, anytime between 10am and 2pm. Friday 14 August: Park in Motion event at Eglinton Park
Eglinton Country Park will be hosting an accessible outdoor event on Friday from 10.30am where accessible bikes, bike maintenance checks, BMXs, Nordic walking and a host of other drop-in activities will take place. Get down early to the events field next to the main playpark if you want to be part of the action – delivered in partnership with the Travel Smart team. Exam results update
Exam results support is available With 148,000 young people across Scotland receiving exam results last week, we appreciate that this can be a stressful time for young people, their families and caregivers. Support is available if the young person you know didn’t quite get what they expected. The Parent Club website has a host of useful resources to support young people with their next steps. Skilled advisors from the Skills Development Scotland helpline can also support with queries regarding next steps, clearing, apprenticeships, jobs and returning to school.
Register your place for the NASA Gordon Craig memorial Golf Competition

Financial health checks are back at Cunninghame House
Save the date! A Senior Personal Banker from The Royal Bank of Scotland will be visiting Cunninghame House to offer colleagues a free financial health check on 18 and 19 August. Nominations will open soon for latest round of Participatory Budgeting
Do you run a local community group which has previously received funding through the Council’s Participatory Budgeting fund? Or, do you know of one who could do with a boost and a little helping hand? If so, North Ayrshire Community Planning Partnership - is delighted to announce that Participatory Budgeting is back! Applications open on Monday 17 August and there’s £82,185 funding up for grabs including a contribution from the UK Government’s Pride of Place Fund. Read all about it in the PB Latest News article.
