Free gym memberships for care-experienced young people

North Ayrshire Corporate Parenting team are pleased to share an opportunity made possible through funding from Summer of Sports.

The team has secured a limited number of free 12-month KA Leisure memberships for care experienced young people aged 12-25 living in North Ayrshire.

The membership provides access to gyms, fitness classes, swimming, and skating facilities at:

• The Portal, Irvine
• Harvies, Stevenston
• Walker Hall, Kilbirnie
• Vikingar!, Largs

Please note that young people aged 12-15 who wish to access gym facilities must complete a four-session gym induction programme before their membership can be activated. This is included as part of the offer.

We would particularly welcome applications from care experienced young people who face financial barriers to accessing leisure opportunities and who are likely to make regular use of the membership.

To ensure all eligible young people have the opportunity to hear about and apply for this offer, applications will be accepted until Friday 30th October.

As funding is limited, submitting an application does not guarantee that a membership can be provided. All applications received by the closing date will be reviewed in early November, and applicants will be notified of the outcome thereafter.

Applications can be submitted by young people themselves, parents/carers, or professionals supporting a young person.
