Monday 22 June: Complete the Big Scam survey

The fourth Big Scottish Scam Survey will run between now and July. Trading Standards in partnership with North Ayrshire Libraries are promoting the survey and are keen to find out about the most commonly experienced scams in Scotland so that we can help consumers recognise and avoid them. Wednesday 24 June: Full Council meeting

The June Full Council meeting will get under way at 2pm on Wednesday. You can read the agenda for the meeting online which will be streamed via the online Webcast. This is the final meeting before heading into summer recess.

Wednesday 24 June: Next mental health ‘How to’ session

The next training session for managers will take place on Wednesday from 11am until midday. It will provide line managers with a clear overview of ‘Tools to Support Stress Management & Mental Health in the Workplace’. Read the latest HR update on Staff News to join and find out more…

Thursday 25 June: Council Recess begins

The Council will enter Summer Recess on Thursday 25 June until Tuesday 11 August. During this time, no Council meetings or committees will take place. Preparations for return are ongoing and reports can still be submitted to the Committee Services mailbox as usual.

Drop-in to Three Towns Pride in Place sessions

A series of drop-in sessions for people interested in joining the Three Towns Neighbourhood Board, which will be the decision-making body for the Three Towns Pride in Place Programme, will take place this week. At the sessions, the Regeneration team will be on hand to discuss the role of the Board and the wider programme at the following locations:

  • Monday 22 June at Saltcoats Town Hall Harbour Suite (4.30pm until 6.30pm)
  • Wednesday 24 June at Ardrossan Civic Centre Lounge (4.30pm until 6.30pm)
  • Thursday 25 June at Hayocks Hall Lounge (4.30pm until 6.30pm)

Business Development team are in the spotlight

Following on from Employee Ownership Day, our Business Development team have shared two new social media case studies, raising awareness on inclusive ownership business models. See how they’ve supported Booth Welsh here – an employee-owned engineering and technology business in Irvine. Then watch the video from Anderson Stewart Castings based in Garnock who have moved to employee ownership to secure long-term job security for employees.

North Ayrshire Active Schools graduates celebrated

Another Active Schools programme has been delivered over the past academic year and more than 180 pupils were celebrated at a recent awards ceremony at Saltcoats Town Hall – read all about it in the Active Schools social media post.

Training is being offered as part of our ongoing commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality customer service across the Council. These CRM refresher training sessions are designed to reinforce best practice, provide updates on recent changes, and support colleagues in using the CRM system effectively and confidently in their day-to-day roles.
