Thank you for tuning in to News in Brief with important updates and news highlights of all that is happening right across the Council.
Tuesday 13 January: Change to training rooms on 4th floor
As office construction works progress , please note that starting from Tuesday 13 January, any training undertaken by Corporate L&OD or the Health and Social Care Partnership will now be held in the new training suite on the 4th Floor West of Cunninghame House. This will be the new default location unless delegates are instructed otherwise. Read the meeting rooms update for more information on the works underway.

Our Health and Social Care Partnership are back on the road this week for a series of drop-in sessions ahead of setting their budget for 2026. The remaining dates are as follows:
- Tuesday 13 January: Hayocks Community Centre, Stevenston (11am - 2pm)
- Wednesday 14 January: Bridgend Community Centre, Kilbirnie (4pm - 7pm)
- Thursday 15 January: Clark Memorial Church, Largs (11am - 2pm)

Wednesday 14 January: Chit Chat sessions Three Towns
Residents and community groups across the Three Towns are invited to join the Three Towns Locality team on Wednesday for the first in a series of informal Chit Chat drop-in sessions. The session is being held in Ardrossan Civic Centre from 7pm to 9pm. It is an opportunity for residents to share their thoughts, hear about great things happening locally and learn about exciting funding opportunities coming to the area. Friday 16 January: Deadline for annual rent consultation
North Ayrshire Council’s annual rent consultation concludes midnight on Friday 16 January 2026. Information on the rent increase options has been sent to tenants and they are being asked to complete an online survey. Complete mandatory training modules
There are a number of iLearn modules which you are required to complete, some on an annual basis. Managers are asked to please encourage teams to factor in the time to complete them all as part of everyone’s ongoing development. Deadline is 31 March 2026. Adult Support and Protection training calendar now live
Free Adult Support and Protection (ASP) training is open to individuals and partner organisations, see the sessions coming between now and March 2026 in the ASP training calendar. Get full details in the staff information and training sessions weekly update.
Weekly café update
The café has reopened in Cunninghame House. Open from 8.30am, the café located on 4th floor east provides lots of choice including healthy options and daily specials . View the most up-to-date menu in the weekly café update.
Able Futures – Access to Work Mental Health Support Service
Did you know? If you are in work but struggling with mental health difficulties (anxiety, depression, bereavement, stress etc), you can contact Able Futures for support. Able Futures is a nationwide specialist partnership set up to provide the Access to Work Mental Health Support Service on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions. The support involves up to nine months' advice and guidance from a mental health coach who can help you learn coping mechanisms, build self-care routines, access therapy or work with your employer to make adjustments to help your mental health at work.
