Monday 15 June: Changes to bookable hot desks in Cunninghame House
Following the opening of the new Customer Service Centre at Cunninghame House, the final staff relocations from Bridgegate House and Galt House have now been completed. To address the increase in staff numbers, and to better align with recent Directorate changes, minor adjustments take effect today to the office locations of some services. Also on Monday: Free compost giveaway
Compost created from food and garden waste across North Ayrshire will this week be given away free to residents by the Council so if you want to give your garden or veggie patch a boost, check out the Compost Giveaway news article with all of the dates and locations for pick-up, starting from today.
Also on Tuesday: Working North Ayrshire event
Working North Ayrshire, formerly known as Your Next Move Working North Ayrshire (which includes provision delivered by CEiS Ayrshire, We Work for Families, Positive Pathways, Equal) is having an information event on Wednesday from 10am at the Volunteer Rooms in Irvine, and the team would like to invite you and your colleagues to attend and find out more. Wednesday 17 June: Next mental health ‘How to’ session
The next ‘Managing Stress and Mental Health’ training session for managers will take place on Wednesday from 11am until midday. It will provide line managers with a clear overview of mental health and stress, including common mental health conditions, symptoms and the difference between pressure and stress. Friday 19 June: Few tickets remain for folk performance at HAC
Award-winning Gaelic singer, Maggie MacInnes and her band, will be performing contemporary arrangements of songs from a previously unreleased private archive at the Harbour Arts Centre on Friday from 7.30pm. Change to Mileage Rate
Please be advised that the HMRC Business Mileage rates have increased from 45p to 55p for the first 10,000 miles. Find out everything you need to know in the mileage rate news update.
New reporting form to report a data breach
The Online Data Breach Reporting Form is being updated with a slightly different format although it will not affect how you use the form. The new form will be available from Tuesday and although it will look a little different, you will still be asked to provide the same information. New support website has launched
A new North Ayrshire Self-Directed Support website has been launched, offering a comprehensive source of clear information on the SDS options and how they work. The site also provides details around NAHSCP eligibility criteria, FAQs on employing personal assistants, and advice on Guardianship/Power of Attorney.
Summer edition of Spotlight
The summer edition of Spotlight is now available for you to read. This quarterly update brings some of the highlights of the Leadership Conference which was held at Saltcoats Town Hall on the theme of Wellbeing. Check out Spotlight on the Staff News website.
